Setting up Cpanel

This is the way we advise you to setup cpanel after account creation. It is the simplest and in the long run best way to start off.

  1.  Login to cpanel: http://domainname.com/cpanel or http://servername.directrouter.com or http://serverip/cpanel
  2. Goto mail menu. Then add/remove mail accounts. Setup a new pop account. Feel free to leave the account quota blank if you wish.
  3. Go back to mail menu. Setup default address. Either set the new pop account you created as the default address or if you don't wish to have a 'catchall' set default address to: ':blackhole:' This will ensure any mail not correctly addressed will discarded.

Note: It is important to note that any subdomains you create must also have their default address set either to ':blackhole:' or a vaild working email address.

To read your mail remember to use full email address as login ie This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it as login.

There are many different ways to setup mail in cpanel, however if later down the track you submit a helpdesk ticket with for example: a) Quota issues relating to email. b) Receiving unwanted email, we are only going to point you to this thread.
